Medical History |
30 bedded Hospital was with District Rohtak up to july
1997. On 15th July 1997. District Jhajjar was created by bifurcation of district
Rohtak. It has population of 871441 (Urban 124893 and Rural 746548). There are five
CHCs namely Jhajjar, Dighal, Jamalpur, Bahadurgarh, Dhakla, Chhudani, Machrouli,
Tucbaheri, Matanhail, Birohar, Bahu Jholri, D.D. Majra, Jahajgarh and Bhambeva.
There are 127 Sub- Centres covering 262 villages. There are Two General Hospital
at Kharhar and Beri, There is E.S.I Dispensary in Bahadurgarh and two M.C.H Centres
at Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh respectively. Haryana Govt has sanctioned new CHC Dubaldhan
and PHC Jassor Kheri and Jahangirpur.

Current Profile |
District Jhajjar has 100 bedded Hospital having Multi specialist
services with round the clock Casualty Services. Blood Bank building is Completed
and sanction for Blood Bank is still awaited. It has two Sub Division, Five Blocks
and 262 villages as per health institution, 100 bedded hospital at Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh
are upgraded by the Govt. At CHC there is provision of One SMO , Four Medical Officers,
One Dental Surgeon, One Radiographer, Two Pharmacists, One Nursing Sister, Six Staff
Nurses, One L.T. with other staff with total of 38 Staff.

At PHC there is provision of Two Medical Officer, One Pharmacist,
One L.T., One Staff Nurses, One Class_1V and One Sweeper. At sub Centre level there
is provision of One M.P.H.W (M) and One M.P.H.W (F). All the five CHC are functioning
in Govt. building in the District Jhajjar under the Chairmanship of Civil Surgeon,
there is provision of One D.H.O, One D.M.O, One D.D.I. and One G.F.I, One Assistant
Malaria Officer and One Chief Pharmacist. Post of D.T.O, D.I.O, D.S.M.O, D.F.W.O
are not yet sanctioned. There are 65 MOs, 35 Pharmacist two T.S.I. , Ten Nursing
Sister, Twenty Seven Staff Nurse, Two P.H.N , Three Ophthalmic Asstt, Two B.E.E.
, 118 Multi Purpose Workers(M), 125 M.P.H.W(F) with other office Staff. Health Department
is responsible for providing health care for Rural and Urban Sector. Secondary health
department is responsible to control communicable disease and implementation of
various programmes.

The Various National Health Programmes
with their goal and Objective are follows.
1)
National Family welfare programmes.
i)
To reduce birth rate.
ii)
To achieve a couple protection rate(CPR)
iii)
To adopt the small family norms.
iv)
To ensure young couple to adopt safe
mother hood
v)
Child survival and safe mother hood
programmes.

The programme was started in 1992. It includes universal
immunization programme. Pulse polio immunization programme.Antenatal post care pregnant
mothers, M.T.P services and the goal as to reduce IMR & MMR.

National AIDS Control Programme:
This programme was started in 1992. The objectives are to create awareness about
AIDS, to provide safe blood and imparting training to medical and general public.
National Anti Malaria Programmes:
A modified plan of operation to combat Malaria was started in Haryana in 1997 and
the objective were to produce morbidity, to minimize death due to malaria. This
programme has good achievement and malaria is on the verge of eradication and there
are no malaria cases in District Jhajjar.

Other National Health Programmes are Reproductive and Child
Health programme, T.B. Control and Leprosy Eradication Programme, National Programme
for Control of Blindness, School Health Programme Iodine Deficiency Control Programme,
Prevention of Food Adulteration Control Programme, Control of Water Borne/Vector
Borne Disease. |
