Never a lady in the world, has ever built any monument in the memory of her lover If there is one “ The Tajmahal”; of course it is from Shahjahan. But “Bua” has not only built a tomb, in the remembrance of her lover, but also made a concrete pond, where the two used to meet so often. Now, it's remnants (in Jhajjar), tell its history.

In 1635, there lived Kalols in Kot, who converted in to Muslim later on. They were enjoying prestigious posts in the the then govt.. Bua, a daughter of Mustafa Kalol, was one of them. She was very beautiful as well as brave. Even in the evening she used to go with her horse. It was evening, The sun was approaching the west.

The Drawing raps were giving the earth its unique golden touch. Crouched on her milky white horse, dressed like a soldier, armed with a boo, a young lady of sixteen was rushing towards the jungle like lightning.

All of a sudden, she stopped!! And in the very next moment, she was having her bow in hand. For a while, she noticed a tawny near the shrubs. The horse too, stopped still!! And then!? She shot an arrow in the direction of the beast.

Within no time, a great tawny beast with its fierce groaing flashes out of the shrubs. It was about to attack. But the same time, she was minutely observing its body. The horse got unsettled and with to take revenge on the attacker lifted his fore legs in the air. But She was quick hardly got a chance to do much, to think even; the whole jungle shuddered with fierce roar of a tiger. Like a lightening, he jumped ever the horse and the rider fall on the ground. She had to go unarmed with that beast. “Desperate man does all things.” Though, she was trembling in fear, she could manage to hold its tongue tightly and tried to draw it out with her full force.

It was unexpected for the tiger, and the next moment, he chewed her wrist, with his fierce jaws. The gaudy teeth injured the lady’s wrist so badly that she floundered with unbearable pain, but she did not surrender so easily. She was struggling hard for life but she was losing her patience and turning faint. Then she shouted for help. Hearing the shout Hasan, the woodman rushed to the place and encountered at once with the tiger. It seemed, as if two tigers were fighting there.

Then, as soon as, he got the chance, he struck a full blow, with his chopper and soon the great tawny beast succumbed to death at last. It was like a dream for the young lady she could never think of her survival. The young man came forward and held the young lady in his arms and went towards a nearby pond. The clothes of the lady were badly torn. It was moonlit night, when she returned to her senses, she was astonished. At once, she could be able to know that the young man, who is caring her wounds, had saved her life.

He was a strongly built and hand some looking young man. Bua, fell in love with him. “Are you ok?”, seeing the lady in sense the young man asked. Yes, she tried to get up. “Don't, you need rest, be formal you need more rest, more nursing”, advised the young man. Seeing the lady, without blinking towards him he asked, “ What are you looking it?” “ I will remain indebted to you all my life”, replied she. “ It was my duty” “……………….. but I shall pay it back even if it costs my own life.” "I am Bua, I am the daughter of Mushtafa, the grantee.

I like hunting, with my horse, today also, I went out for this.” “ I am Hasan, a poor woodman, I have to depend on this.” Hasan took blood drenched Bua, to her home. As her parents saw her causin they got stirred. Soon a man was sent for calling the vaidya . The treatment started. He sought permission for his return. But the permission was not granted, because of late night. He was provided a room in their guest room. He was sleep soon dead tired. Embraced him in his arms. Hardly had he slept for a while, he heard the footsteps of someone. Reluctant to open his eyes found smiling Bua, standing before him. Like in a dream, rubbing his eyes, he asked hesitantly,” why did you come here?” “Why shouldn't I?” “I am absolutely fine now tell about you.” She went on saying still smiling. “ I am also alright, infact I was bothered about you.” About Me?, you have given me a new life. I can not forget that moment in my life, if you wish, I can sacrifice my life on your feet.” She was firm. “Would you marry me?” The young man was felling nervous. Bua, blushed at this. “I, cannot live without you.” And she rushed to her room.

Next morning it was an emotional moment for Bua’s parents. Since Hasan was departing “let us know what you want. We shall try to grant your demand. You have saved the life of our daughter, if we could repay your debt , come on tell us frankly. On having this, Hasan hesitatingly but firmly said, “ if you really want to repay, give your daughter's hand to me, I want to make her my life partner…………….” They promised to full fill his desire.

Days passed by. Both Hasan & Bua, used to meet near the pond of that some forest. Though Mustafa Khan had promised, in words, at heart, he did not want to do so, because of Hasan's poverty. One day Mustafa Khan called for Hasan and sent him for battle field, Under kings army. During the war, Hasan was killed. Soon the sad news reached Bua. She at once reached the spot and buried him near by the same pond, where the used to meet so often. She built a tomb in the memory of her lover quite near of his burial. In the moonlit night, Bua used to sit alone through the night and shed tears in the remembrance of Hasan. Two years passed, Bua also breathed her last. She was buried just beside of Hasan’s tomb. Thus she reunited with Hasan in the next world.

At last they become one.
